Big Changes In NFC East

We’ve seen some shakeup in the NFC East today. The Redskins parted ways with Jim Haslett, and the Eagles now announce they’re moving on from VP of Player Personnel Tom Gamble. Gamble had been mentioned as a GM candidate elsewhere, but reports out of Philly say Gamble had some friction with GM Howie Roseman. Chip Kelly apparently favored Gamble.

The Cowboys won’t have to deal with Jim Haslett anymore. He and the Redskins have agreed to part ways. Over Haslett’s five seasons in Washington, the defense ranked a collective 29th in yards and 30th in points. Given this move and the fact it hasn’t already happened, it looks like Jay Gruden’s firing is being postponed to next year.
