The Texas Rangers making some roster moves Friday before the start of their weekend series against the L.A. Angels. The team has purchased the contract of pitcher Jon Edwards from Triple-A Round Rock. To make room for him on the active roster, the Rangers option pitcher Robbie Ross to Round Rock. Edwards has combined to go 2-3 with a 4.41 ERA over 34 relief appearances between Frisco and Round Rock.
