We all lose

The terrible news came down last night that our friend and ESPN Dallas.com writer, Richard Durrett passed away suddenly at his home in Wylie. Richard was 38 years old and one of the nicest people you could ever encounter. Richard was a versatile reporter that could excel on several platforms, but above all – Richard was an example of how we should all treat one another. There has been several glowing articles and tweets that pay tribute to the kind of person Richard was. All of which were heart-felt and hit the mark. I want to share this one by DMN Stars beat writer Mike Heika. It's outstanding.

The Texas Rangers have started a Durrett family fund. He leaves behind a wife and two beautiful children. We strongly urge you to dontate if you can.
