The Rangers Come Full Cycle

After scoring just four runs in a three-game weekend series in Kansas City, the Rangers triple that in just one night. Alex Rios leading the charge, becoming the seventh player in team history to hit for the cycle in a 12-0 rout of the Astros.

Rios starting up his night with a two-run double in the first. He singles to start up a four-run third inning, then homers in the fourth. Rios caps the night with the hard part, a triple in the sixth. A Ranger has hit for the cycle in four of the last five seaons, Ian Kinsler in 2009, Bengie Molina in 2010, Adrian Beltre in 2012, and finally Rios last night.

The Rangers move within a game of the Indians for the final wild card spot in the American League. Yu Darvish starts against the Astros at 7:05 tonight. Take a swim through Diamond Talk immediately afterwards on Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket.
