Another Fill-in Win for the Rangers

The Rangers don't seem to bat an eye when they have to turn to a fill-in starter. While Alexi Ogando goes to the DL for the thrid time this season, Travis Blackley becomes the 11th different starting pitcher of the season for Texas. The six guys who didn't begin the season in the rotation have combined to help the Rangers go 27-17 in those games including Tuesday night's 4-2 win over the Astros.

Blackley doesn't figure into last night's decision, but he was decent for four innings, giving up two runs on a season high 66 pitches. Four relievers combine to throw five shutout innings.

The offense rallies wtih a two-run homer from Adrian Beltre in the 6th inning. That's Beltre's 26th of the year, still one behind the suspended Nelson Cruz for the team lead.

The Rangers and Astros wrap up their series at 7:05 tonight with Derek Holland facing Erik Bedard on the mound. Take a swim through Diamond Talk afterwards on Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket.
