The Rangers Finally End Their Slide

The Rangers longest losing streak in more than three years finally ends at six. Nelson Cruz homers twice and drives in four runs, leading Texas to an 8-7 comeback win over the A's. A.J. Pierzynski also homers and drives in three runs to make a winner out of Neal Cotts. Cotts throws 2.1 scoreless innings of relief, while Joe Nathan earns his 21st save.

The bullpen work was needed in relief of Nick Tepesch who gives up six runs in 3.2 innings. All six score in the fourth inning to end his night. Yu Darvish starts game two against Oakland at 7:05 tonight. Take a swim through Diamond Talk after the game on Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket.
