Kidd Calls it a Career

Former Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd has informed the New York Knicks that he is retiring at the age of 40. Kidd was taken in the 1st round by Dallas in the 1994 draft. He went on to play 19 NBA seasons leading the Mavs to their only championship in 2011 and he led the Nets to a pair of Finals appearances in 2002 and 2003.

Kidd was a 10 time All-star, 5 time NBA first team selection, and he retires with the second most assists in the history of the game.
