The First Real Losing Streak for the Rangers

It takes 52 games for the Rangers to finally drop 3 in a row this season. And those 3 straight losses come in the span of about 33 hours over the Memorial Day weekend.

Texas losing in 13 innings Sunday in Seattle, then dropping both ends of a day-night double-header in Arizona Monday. The Diamondbacks a 5-3 win in game one and 5-4 in game two.

Martin Perez called up from the minors to start the first game, giving up 4 runs in 5 1/3 innings. The offense the real problem in this one, striking out 15 times.

Yu Darvish strikes out 14 in the nightcap, but he gives up 4 runs and Arizona is able to rally for the win. Darvish has 105 strikeouts this season, 20 ahead of the next closest pitcher in the Majors.

The Rangers off today and they host these same Diamondbacks tomorrow night to open a five game homestand.
