One-time Ranger Jose Canseco is scheduled to begin a short stint as a player/coach for the Fort Worth Cats Thursday night. But Canseco arriving in the metroplex yesterday amid controversy.
Canseco accued of sexually assaulting a woman in Las Vegas. No arrest has been made and no charges were immediately filed against the slugger. Canseco taking to twitter yesterday to defend himself, posting pictures and the name of his accuser before later taking them down.
The 48-year-old Canseco last playing in the Majors in 2001 with the White Sox. He was with the Rangers from 1992 to 1994, infamously having a ball bounce off his head for a home run and tearing up his arm in an appearance as a relief pitcher.
