The Rangers Lose Again

The Rangers offense not helping them pull away from their closest pursuer in the AL West. Texas hitters manage only 3 singles in a 1-0 loss to the A's. That's the first back-to-back losses for the Rangers in two weeks, and it cuts their AL West lead down to 4.5 games.

Oakland starter Dan Straily didn't look like a guy with a 7.27 ERA. He allows only two singles and strikes out five in seven shutout innings.

Yu Darvish pretty good for Texas, allowing only a solo home run by Yoenis Cespedes in his six innings of work.

The Rangers and A's wrap up their series at 1:05 this afternoon with fill-in starter Ross Wolf facing Oakland's Jarrod Parker on the mound.
