Beltre’s Bad Night

The Rangers had their chances, but they wind up losing their first series of the season. Adrian Beltre fails to produce in two key situations and the Chicago White Sox beat Texas 3-1.

With the bases loaded in the 6th Beltre grounds into an inning-ending double play. Then in the 8th with two on and two out Beltre strikes out. The Rangers clean-up batter is hitting just .215 this season, and even worse with runners in scoring position at .118.

Justin Grimm takes the loss after giving up a 3-run homer to Tyler Flowers in the 6th. Earlier Thursday Grimm named the American League Rookie of the Month, posting a 2-0 record and 1.59 ERA for three starts in April.
