Jason Robertson keeps goals coming as Stars edge Golden Knights

Jason Robertson scored two goals and Jake Oettinger made 18 saves to lead the host Dallas Stars to a 4-3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday night.It was Robertson’s second multi-goal game of the season. Roope Hintz and Jamie Benn also scored goals and Matt Duchene, Wyatt Johnston and Evgenii Dadonov each had two assists for Dallas, which leapfrogged the idle Minnesota Wild into second place in the Central Division.Jack Eichel scored two goals, Mark Stone had three assists and Shea Theodore also scored for Vegas, which took its fifth loss in six games. Adin Hill finished with 23 saves.The two teams traded power play goals during the first period, which ended up tied at 1-1.A wide-open Eichel gave the Golden Knights the lead at the 4:04 mark with a one-timer from the left circle past Oettinger’s blocker side to extend the team’s streak with a power play goal to eight games. Hintz tied it with his team-leading 20th goal, redirecting a shot from Dadonov over Hill’s right shoulder.Robertson gave the Stars a 2-1 lead at the 7:31 mark of the second period when he put in a rebound of Duchene’s shot inside the left post. Vegas rebounded to tie the game again on a power play goal by Theodore, who slid a wrist shot inside the right post.
