The Rangers are said to be very close to a deal for Yovani Gallardo. Sources say the deal is agreed upon in principle and is pending physicals. Ken Rosenthal says Louis Sardinas has a good chance to be part of the package. Gallardo has one year left on his current deal but reportedly would be willing to sign an extension. The Fort Worth native has struck out more than 8 batters per nine for his career.
