According to a report from the New York Daily News Cowboys special teams player C.J. Spillman is under investigation after an alleged sexual assault took place at the Gaylord Texan Hotel on Sept. 20, and was allowed to play the next day. According to Grapevine police spokeman Sgt. Robert Eberling, "We have a sexual assault report we are investigating at this time, and it does involve C.J. Spillman. He is involved in the investigation. We are looking into the matter." The allegations coming just one day after NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell held a press confrence promising to be tougher on players who have been involved in a violent crime. Spillman making one tackle in the Cowboys 34-31 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sept. 21.
