The Rangers got three runs in the bottom of the sixth, all with two outs, to come from behind and beat the Atlanta Braves, 3-2, at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The victory gave pitcher Lisalverto Bonilla a win in his first major-league start, as he was called up to replace Scott Baker. Bonilla went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits, walking four and striking out three. Neil Cotts pitched the ninth for his first save of the season and third of his career.
The Rangers trailed, 2-0, going into their half of the sixth, and had not managed a hit off Braves starter Julio Teheran all game. Luis Sardinas broke up the no-no bit with a one-out single. After Michael Choice flyout, Leonis Martin reached base on a Justin Upton error, putting runners on first and second with two out.
Elvis Andrus then singled, plating one run and Rougned Odor lined a double to left-center field to give the Rangers the 3-2 lead.
The Rangers have an opportunity to sweep the Braves with a win tomorrow. Colby Lewis will take the mound for Texas, opposite Mike Minor for Atlanta. First pitch is set for 2:05 p.m., on Fox Sports Southwest.
