Two biggest NBA free agents dominoes fall

LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, the most sought-after free agents during the NBA offseason, have made decisions about their respective futures this weekend.

James announced Friday he was going back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team that drafted him with the first pick of the 2003 NBA Draft. James spent seven years with the Cavaliers, before leaving in free agency for Miami, where he led the Heat to four consecutive NBA Finals appearances. The Heat won two NBA titles in those four years.

Anthony is reportedly negotiating for a return to the New York Knicks, the team with which he has spent the last four seasons, after playing the first eight years of his career with the Denver Nuggets. Agents for Anthony have reportedly told officials from the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls to look elsewhere for players.

The Dallas Mavericks are still awaiting word from the Rockets on whether they will match the three-year, $46 million offer sheet the Mavericks signed with Chandler Parsons. The Rockets have until 11 pm Dallas time on Sunday to make their decision.
