The Dallas Stars game against the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday night was postponed after forward Rich Peverley apparently collapsed on the bench. Columbus was leading 1-0 just over six minutes in when players on the Dallas bench began banging their sticks calling for emergency medical attention.
Peverley had been battling an irregular heartbeat that kept him out of the pre-season and the start of the regular season. He was reported to be conscious when he was taken to a nearby hospital from the American Airlines Center.
The league has yet to determine details of when the Stars and Blue Jackets will make up Monday's game. Dallas will play in St. Louis at 7 PM Tuesday on Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket.
