Dirk Nowitzki was fantastic Wednesday night, but he gets no help. Dirk lighting up the Rockets for 38 points on 13-of-21 shooting. The other four Mavs starters combine for 22 points on 9-of-34 from the floor as the Rockets hold off Dallas 117-115.
The Dallas bench was helpful with 22 points from Vince Carter, 14 from Devin Harris, and 13 by DeJuan Blair. But Monte Ellis scores only six and Jose Calderon just eight, missing a pair of 3's in the final 10 seconds.
All five Rockets starters hitting for double figures plus two more off the bench. Chandler Parsons leading with 26 points.
The Grizzlies win Wednesday night, moving them within a half game of Dallas for the last playoff spot in the West.
