A Rare Win for the Stars

For only the second time in 2014 the Dallas Stars win a game. The Stars just 2-8-1 since the turn of the calendar after dominating the Minnesota Wild 4-0. The worst home power play in the league converts two-of-seven. Erik Cole and Ray Whitney scoring the power play goals, while Vernon Fiddler opens the game with a goal in the first and Jordie Benn finishes the night with a penalty shot.

Kari Lehtonen only has to stop 18 shots for his 24th career shutout. Dallas moving up to 10th in the west, seven points behind Minnesota for the last playoff spot. The Stars hosting Toronto Thursday night on The Ticket.
