STARS RECALL OLEKSIAK FROM CEDAR PARK, PLACE ROBIDAS ON INJURED RESERVE

   Defenseman Stephane Robidas, who suffered a broken leg during the Dallas Stars' 2-1, shootout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks Friday night, was placed on injured reserve today, the team announced. He is expected to miss 4-6 months with the injury. The team also announced that fellow blueliner Jamie Oleksiak is being recalled from the Texas Stars to fill Robidas' spot on the major-league roster.

   Robidas, 36, suffered the injury in the second period of the game, when he slid awkwardly into the end boards during a penalty kill. He had to be removed from the ice on a stretcher, and was taken to the hospital shortly thereafter.

   Oleksiak, 20, has played 22 games for the Stars' AHL affilliate this season. He leads all Texas defensemen with three goals and five points and a plus-4 rating thus far this season. the 6-foot-7, 250-pounder played 16 games for the Stars last season, earning two assists and 14 penalty minutes. He was a first-round pick for Dallas in the 2011 NHL Draft.

   The Stars are in action Sunday night at the American Airlines Center against the Edmonton Oilers. The Ticket will have the Stars Pre-Game Show with Josh Bogeraad and Bruce Levine, starting at 4:30 pm. Ralph and Razor will be onhand to call the puck drop at 5 pm.
