Stars snap road win streak in St. Louis, 6-1

The Dallas Stars six-game road win streak went by the boards in a 6-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues Saturday night in St. Louis.

The Stars played the Blues close for two periods, trailing only 3-1 at the second intermission. They gave up two goals in the first six minutes of the final period, however, and Stars coach Lindy Ruff pulled goalie Kari Lehtonen in favor of Dan Ellis immediately after the 2nd goal of the period.

Dallas outshot St. Louis, 35-25, during the game, but they could only manage one goal by Brenden Dillon. Six different Blues scored goals against the Stars.

The Stars fell to 11-9-2 on the season, and lost their fourth straight in St. Louis. The Blues improved to 16-3-3 on the season, and 10-1-2 at home. It's the best start for the Blues after 22 games in franchise history.

Dallas returns home on Tuesday to face the Anahiem Ducks at the American Airlines Center.
