The Rangers filling the vacant bench coaching position with the hiring of Tim Bogar. However, the 47-year-old Bogar is expected to have more responsibilities than just hugging Ron Washington after wins.
Bogar will organize spring training, run advance scouting meetings, and also handle infield instruction. He'll also be in charge of positioning fielders during games, something he's done in stops at Tampa and Boston. Last season Bogar was managing in the Angels system.
