It's only seven games in, but the Dallas Cowboys have first place all to themselves in the NFC East. Dallas wins a surprising defensive struggle in Philadelphia, 17-3, to improve to 4-3. They are the only team in the divison over .500.
This one belongs to the defense, limiting the Eagles high-powered attack to just 278 yards. NFL rushing leader LeSean McCoy only gains 55 yards on 18 carries. Backup quarterback Nick Foles just dreadful, completing 11 of 29 passes for only 80 yards. He leaves in the second half with injury, so Matt Barkley makes his NFL debut and throws three intercpetions.
Tony Romo manages to complete jus 28 of 47 passes, but he does pile up 317 yards and a touchdown. Dez Bryant catches eight passes for 110 yards. Rookie Terrence Williams the lone touchdown catch.
Rookie Joseph Randle starts for the first time in place of the injured DeMarco Murray. Randle runs for 65 yards on 19 carries and catches three passes for 28 yards.
