The Rangers Run at the Playoffs Comes Up Empty

The Rangers run of playoff appearances coming to an end at three. Texas unable to advance to the wild card round, losing out in regular season game number 163 5-2 to the Rays.

Tampa starter David Price allows only two runs on seven hits while going the distance. Evan Longoria the big bat with three hits, a home run, and two RBI's.

The Texas offense mostly silent once again. Ian Kinsler and Alex Rios providing the only run-scoring hits.

Now that the Rangers are out, it means that 2013 will mark the first calendar year since 1989 in which none of DFW's four major pro sports teams will play a playoff game.
