After losing seven straight, the Rangers topped the Rays tonight, 7-1. Ian Kinsler homered on the first pitch of the night as part of 2-for-5, 3 RBI showing. Elvis Andrus also picked up 3 RBI, including his third home run of the season. In his return to the starting rotation, Alexi Ogando gave Texas five strong innings, striking out four while walking one. Joakim Soria, Neal Cotts, Tanner Scheppers and Joe Nathan then combined to allow just two hits across the remaining four innings.
