The Rangers Make it 7 in a Row

The Rangers are mired in their worst losing streak since 2008. The Texas slide reaches seven after a 6-2 loss to the Rays. The offense remains a major problem scoring two or fewer runs for the fourth time in the seven game streak.

Matt Garza not much help Monday in Tampa, giving up all six runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings. Since a July trade from the cubs Garza is 3-5 with an ERA of 4.94. He's lost all three of his September starts.

Texas currently holds the second wild card spot with just a half game lead on the Indians. Game two in Tampa at 6:10 tonight. Alexi Ogando will make the start.
