With 14 games to go, the Rangers are all but done in the AL West race. Texas dropping 6.5 games back in the divison after being swept in back-to-back series at home. The A's taking all three from the Rangers with Sunday's 5-1 win at the Ballpark.
The offense as silent as can be. They do have ten hits on Sunday, but only score on a first inning RBI single from A.J. Pierzynski. They are a dismal 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.
The AL Wild Card race now has to be the Rangers focus. They are tied for the lead with the Rays, a half game up on the Indians. Texas will play their next four in Tampa starting 6:10 tonight.
