For the first time since July 21st Martin Perez loses a game. And the rookie lefty sees his run of winning six straight starts come to an end in the Rangers 5-4 loss to the Pirates.
Perez giving up four runs on nine hits in just five innings, his shortest outing since July 26th. The Texas offense doesn't help out as Jeff Baker strikes out wtih two on to end the 8th and Adrian Beltre whiffs with two on to end the game.
That's four straight series losses for the Rangers. They close things out with the Pirates at 1:05 this afternoon. Matt Garza goes for just his fourth win in ten starts for Texas.
