TCU Wins Game, Loses Quarterback

The TCU Horned Frogs bounced back from last Saturday's 34-24 loss to LSU with a 38-17 win over Southeastern Lousiana in the Horned Frogs' home opener at Amon Carter Stadium.

The win might be a costly one, however, as quarterback Casey Pachall left the game in the second quarter with an apparent injury to his left, or non-throwing, arm. Paschall did not return the rest of the game, as he was replaced by Trevone Boykin.

TCU head coach Gary Patterson said Pachall would not play in the Horned Frogs' Big 12 opener against Texas Tech on Thursday.in Lubbock.

Pachall, who missed most of last season after an arrest on suspicion of drunken driving, suffered the injury at the end of a running play, getting his arm caught under a couple of defenders as he was tackled along the sideline.

Boykin was 9-of-13 for 133 yards passing, with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. He led three straight scoring drives after replacing Pachall left with the injury to help the Horned Frogs pull away from the Lions.
