A Balk Win for the Rangers

The Rangers winning their second straight in Seattle, but this one in unusual fashion. With the score tied at three in the 10th, Ian Kinsler starts things off with a single. Kinsler advancing to second on a base hit by Adrian Beltre, then he applies a little more pressure by stealing third.

Even Kinsler didn't expect to score like this. Mariners reliever Danny Farquhar makes the slightest wrong move and is called for a balk. Kinsler strolls to the plate with the go-ahead run as the Rangers win 4-3 in Seattle.

Tanner Scheppers bounces back from a couple of rough outings to work out of a two-on, none out situation in the 9th. Scheppers earns the win and Joe Nathan his 38th save.

The Rangers and Mariners close out their series at 2:40 this afternoon. Martin Perez will try to become the first Ranger rookie to win five straight starts.
