With the news that Yu Darvish was going on the DL, about the only thing the Rangers could hope for Wednesday night was to save their bullpen. Darvish the second starter to go down this week, and now four of the five starters from the opening day rotation are on the DL, and that doesn't include Colby Lewis.
Josh Lindblom takes Nick Tepesch's turn in the rotation last night. Lindblom not very good, giving up six runs on nine hits and four walks. But at least he pitches 5.1 innings, helping save the pen in a 6-1 loss to the Orioles. The biggest key was keeping fellow long reliever Ross Wolf out of the game. That's because Wolf will be the fill-in for Yu tonight in Baltimore.
