If not for the Rangers bullpen, it's hard to imagine they would have a shot in the AL West. Texas relievers throw another four solid innings Wednesday night, saving Justin Grimm's 7th win of the year wtih an 8-5 victory over the Yankees.
Grimm gets into trouble in the 6th and is lifted with no one out, but it's good enough to match for the team lead in wins. Robbie Ross, Neal Cotts, Tanner Scheppers, and Joe Nathan each come on in relief of Grimm. Nathan slamming the door in the 9th for his 26th save of the year, tying for second in the American League.
The offense includes the 20th homer of the year for Nelson Cruz, tying the team record with 5 straigth 20 home run seasons. Adrian Beltre and A.J. Pierzynski each with 2-run doubles.
The Rangers 4-1 so far on their road trip that wraps up at noon today with Derek Holland facing Phil Hughes on the mound.
