The Dallas Stars Have a New Coach

A second interview in Frisco Thursday was apparently enough to put Lindy Ruff over the top. The Dallas Stars have named Ruff the 22nd head coach in franchise history.

Ruff is the 12th winningest coach in NHL history, posting a 571-432-162 record in 15 seasons leading the Buffalo Sabres. Ruff taking the Sabres to the playoffs 8 times and to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999, only to lose to the Dallas Stars. He won the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's coach of the year in 2006 after leading Buffalo to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Ruff will be introduced at a noon press conference on Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket.
