The Rangers have a new ERA leader on the clubs. Derek Holland lowers his to 2.54, just below Yu Darvish. Holland does it by allowing just 1 run in 7 innings as Texas beats the Brewers 4-1.
Holland also able to avoid big trouble as he works around 10 hits. He's helped out by his defense, including Leonys Martin cutting down Jean Segura at the plate to end the 3rd inning. In the 6th, Geovany Soto jumps on a pitch in the dirt and throws out Aramis Ramirez trying to advance to 3rd.
The Rangers split their two games in Milwaukee. Their 3.5 game lead in the AL West is the largest in all of baseball. Texas opens a 3 game weekend series in Houston tomorrow night.
