Scott Feldman Beats the Rangers

The Texas Rangers letting Scott Feldman walk in the off-season, and the right-hander takes it out on his old team last night. Feldman allows just 2 singles in 7 shutout innings while also collecting an RBI single in the Cubs 9-2 whipping of the Rangers.

It wasn't a tough decision for Texas to let Feldman walk over the winter. He was due more than 9 million dollars if they picked up his option. Feldman just 6-11 last season for the Rangers, but he's 3-3 in Chicago and quickly becoming one of the top pitchers on a bad team.

Rangers rookie Nick Tepesch struggles for the second straight outing, allowing 6 runs on 6 hits in 4 innings. The low moment was not finishing off Feldman in the 4th. After getting ahead of the pitcher 0-2, Tepesch allows an RBI single from Feldman that starts up a 5 run inning for the Cubs.

That was a make-up game for a rainout last month. The Rangers in Milwaukee the next two nights. Rookie Justin Grimm starts at 7:10 PM.
