Rangers Manager Ron Washington will take the blame for last night's 5-2 loss to the White Sox. Wash tries to ride out starter Nick Tepesch through a seventh inning. But the rookie doesn't have his best stuff and the move backfires.
Tepesch gives up a leadoff homer to Conor Gillaspie and a two-run shot to Alejandro de Aza that seals the Chicago win. Tepesch winds up allowsing all 5 runs in 6.2 innings to fall to 2-2 on the year.
The Ranger offense manages just 2 runs in the second inning, including a home run from Jeff Baker for the second striaght night.
The Rangers and White Sox will close out their series at 7:05 tonight. Texas still has not lost a series this season.
