The Stars are ready to head in a new direction and will do so with a new General Manager. Joe Nieuwendyk fired over the weekend, and replacing him will be Jim Nill. The 55-year-old Nill has spent the last 19 seasons in the Detroit Red Wings front office, the last 15 as the Assistant GM.
