Listening to Norm sit and discredit everything Denver has done this year just got me wondering.. what awesome team has Dallas played this season? What amazing win does Dallas have under their belt? At least Denver has a win against a team that has a win themselves. Ok so Norm is right, Denver hasn't gone up against a great offense yet, but you look at the stats and they still shut down these offenses to an extent that no other NFL team has thus far.
Bengals scored 7 on them, they average 27 against the Packers and Steelers.
Bengals average almost 5 yards a carry against those teams, only 3.2 on Denver.
Browns average 12 against Minnesota and Baltimore, only 6 against Denver.
Denver held them well below their total yards, rush yards, rush average and pass yards.
Raiders average 17 against San Diego and KC, only 3 against Denver.
Raiders average almost 270 against those teams, 137 against Denver.
Raiders average 160 yards through the air against those other 2 teams, only FOURTY TWO against Denver.
Meanwhile lets throw the parade for Dallas already, because they dominated a terrible 0-3 Bucs team, and squeaked out a close win against the 0-3 Panthers, while the 3-0 Giants lit them up for 33 points and spoiled their home opener. Obviously Dallas is an amazing team and Denver should not even show up on Sunday.
God, give me a break. Your Cowboys are an average team that will probably miss the playoffs again. Lets stop talking like they are anything other than that please. And as a Broncos fan I feel the same way about Denver. They will start 3-0 and miss the playoffs for the 2nd straight year most likely. But damn, at least I know what they are. Norm talks as if Dallas isn't an average team itself. |
