I've already given my HSO in the Hardline section of this forum about a Ticket personality (Mike Basik), and now I have one about Norm:
Why does Norm have to always force himself to breathe in air through his nose only??? My god, he sometimes sounds as if he's taking a huge snort of coke in the moments between his sentences! Norm, if it is required that you take in so much air because you are about to make a big sports point, then why can't you take it in through your mouth? It would be much quieter and less annoying for us hear. And for some reason the "snorting" (for a lack of a better word) is at its worst when he is doing commercials.
It was mentioned in the Hardline section of this forum about Mike Basik's voice being annoying. However, I find Norm's imitation of an early 90's Dallas Cowboy snorting coke to be MUCH, MUCH more annoying! I am not lying when I say I have literally had to change the radio channel at the first Norm radio commercial snort.
Please Norm, it doesn't matter where you get help, but get help somewhere. |

| As unbearable as that snorting sound is, I personally find his inability to complete a sentence without saying 'um' at least fourteen times to be far more annoying. |

I really like it when he smacks his lips. As he has gotten closer to death's door, he does it more and more, making me love him more than during his KLIF days when he used to order around Frazier Maxwell.
By the way, when Norm kicks, will the Hard Line do a trifecta segment on him? Will Grubes be a pallbearer? |

If Norm "kicks", then I think the trifecta would be that of:
1. Norm
2. Norm's nose

Okay, I'm starting to think this whole "snorting" thing may just be an old man disease. I was listening yesterday to Norm interviewing George Bush, and through about the 1st half of the intervew Bush was consitently "snorting" just like Norm usually does (well, not quite as bad but pretty close) . When I say "snorting", I am not necessarily talking about some sort of pig noise, but instead I am talking about a sucking in of air through the nose with the force of trying to suck in half of the available cocaine in Dallas, all at once. Anyway, as Bush did it over and over, I started wondering, "Has Bush seen my post complaining about Norm's snorting and decided to mock Norm?"
Suprisingly, during the interview, Norm didn't snort even once (from what I remember). |
